One of them is a hare, though it looks like a bear to me, and I've been asked to model... Marshman to meet Martians, possibly!!!Planet Ray reports alarm spreading throughout the soon-to-be Breakaway Republic of The Dengie Peninsula, following the appearance of a 'Martian space craft' off the coast. ![]() Wait till you see the lights at night It looks just like those drawings on the War of The Worlds LP cover from the 70s. To be honest, the huge craft has been off the Essex coast since September and is working on the wind-farm on the Gunfleet Sands. But in recent days it's been just off the coast at Bradwell-on-Sea. With lights blazing and towering high above the marshes it can be seen from far away. Ray Clark Breakfast Show listener, John from Tillingham, went out on his boat to investigate and Planet Ray has received plenty of e-mails reporting sightings of the crane ship 'Svanen'. ![]() Everyday folk going about their business As we speak, plans are being mooted for a close-up visit, possibly with the aim to communicate with the occupants! ...and its' not just MartiansPlanet Ray listener and London commuter Libby bumped into an unusual collection of characters on her way to work this week. It was a Christmas charity event - I think! Just the weather for a caravan holidayLoads of Christmas cards arriving for The Ray Clark Breakfast Show team, thank you very much. ![]() "Is there room for me there?" asked Ali One of the cards was from Jan and her family, who also sent some photos of our visit. You might remember that summer's day when we took the show to Jan's caravan at St. Osyth? We were really made welcome, despite Alison turning up in her horse riding gear and wellingtons! ![]() Worth getting up early for On a Cold and Frosty morning...Is it my imagination, or have we had more freezing cold mornings this December than in the whole of last year? Cold is not always a bad thing though, especially when the sun shines through. Planet Ray listeners have been reporting some amazing sunrises... The story 'wot you write'Jeremy started this week's story, The Story Lady finished it. It sounded like the man who jumps through windows to deliver boxes of chocolate was the inspiration for this one. Help playing audio/video Why not join in with your story...
