    Worthing boss Adam Hinshelwood has returned to former club York City to sign winger Ashley Nathaniel-George.

    The 31-year-old Antigua & Barbuda international joined the Minstermen when Hinshelwood was in charge two years ago and has now followed him south after his contract expired.

    Nathaniel-George previously featured for Crawley Town and Southend United in League Two and has also had spells with Torquay United, Maidenhead United, Hartlepool United and Wealdstone.

    "On his day he can be a real game changer with the way he can just glide past players," Hinshelwood told the club's website., external "I'm really excited to be working with him again."

    Experienced goalkeeper Rory Watson has agreed a one-year deal to become Harrogate Town's fifth summer signing.

    The 30-year-old, who began his professional career with Hull, was a free agent after leaving National League champions York City at the end of the 2025-26 campaign.

    "I'm ecstatic," he told the club's website, external. "I've been a part of successful teams in the past and looking at the squad being built here, I think this can be a real success as well."

    Watson has previously had three separate spells at Scunthorpe United, where he spent part of last season on loan, as well as stints with Wrexham, Doncaster Rovers and North Ferriby United.

    Scunthorpe United have signed defender Callum Howe on a two-year deal.

    The 32-year-old captained York to promotion from the National League last season but turned down the offer of a new contract with the Minstermen.

    He started his career in the Iron's academy and the move will see him play alongside younger brother Declan.

    Meanwhile, goalkeeper Maison Campbell, 22, has signed a new one-year deal with Andy Butler's side.

    Hearts have signed former Dundee and Dunfermline Athletic defender Malachi Fagan-Walcott from York City for an undisclosed fee.

    The 24-year-old, who has agreed a four-year contract, was at the time Tottenham Hotspur's youngest-ever player when he made his debut in the Champions League round of 16 defeat by RB Leipzig in 2020.

    But last season he helped York win the National League title, scoring eight goals and providing four assists in 37 appearances.

    Overall, Fagan-Walcott has scored 14 times in 79 games for the club he joined nearly two years ago from Cardiff City.

    The London-born defender first arrived in Scotland on loan to Dundee from Spurs in 2021, but his time at Dens Park was cut short by injury after just two games.

    He joined Cardiff on his release by Spurs but only made one start and two substitute appearances and was sold to York after a successful six-month loan spell.

    Before then, Fagan-Walcott had also had a loan spell with Dunfermline, making 15 appearances and scoring three goals in the latter half of 2023-24 season for the Championship club.

    He becomes Hearts' fifth signing of the summer and comes the day after head coach Derek McInnes left to join Rangers.

    Livingston have signed York City forward Tyrese Sinclair on a two-year deal with the option of a further 12 months.

    The 25-year-old will arrive this summer when his contract with the English National League side ends.

    Campbell joined York two years ago and has made 59 apperances, scoring eight goals. He has spent time on loan this season at Solihull Moors and Hartlepool.

    Campbell is Livingston's second signing - after Arbroath defender Jack Wilkie - as they prepare for a return to the Championship after top-flight relegation.

    York City have released goalkeeper Harrison Male and midfielder Dan Batty ahead of their new campaign in the EFL.

    Male played all 46 games as York won the National League, conceding 41 goals, but he leaves after two seasons at the club.

    Batty, 28, made over 100 appearances for the Minstermen in his three seasons with them.

    Tyrese Sinclair, Cameron John, Rory Watson, Ricky Aguiar, Tyler Cordner, Leone Garvata, Darragh O'Connor and Paddy McLaughlin are also leaving the club, but they all spent the majority of the season out on loan.

    York City have agreed a new contract with defender Ryan Fallowfield.

    The 30-year-old has been with the Minstermen for the last four seasons and played 27 league games as they won the National League.

    "Everything just feels right being here, getting this city, this club back to where it belongs, let's continue the journey," he said.
