This afternoon, the mainland will have variable cloud and showers, some heavy and thundery. The Isles will be drier but breezy with sunny spells and the chance of one or two showers.
Tonight
This evening, a few showers will linger on the mainland but these will gradually ease. Overnight, it will turn dry and mostly clear with just the odd patch of cloud. A chilly night on the mainland.
Tuesday
Tomorrow will start dry with a good deal of sunshine. During the afternoon and evening, however, the mainland will turn cloudy with some light rain. Mostly sunny conditions remaining on the Isles.
Outlook for Wednesday to Friday
Wednesday looks set to be unsettled and breezy with cloud and areas of showery rain pushing in from the southwest during the day. Thursday will stay breezy but will turn drier and sunnier. However, the mainland and Orkney may see a few showers develop in the morning and afternoon. Friday will turn gradually cloudy and wet on the mainland. Drier with variable cloud on the Isles.
