Where on earth is Robin Roefs or Noah Sadiki? Sunderland finished 7th with these two playing a huge majority of the games as Prem newcomers???

Despite only just returning to full fitness for the start of the season, he regained his place in the starting 11. He scored his first goal of the season on 13 September against Brighton in a 2-1 win.
But did he do enough to win your vote for best young player?

Still only 21, established in Manchester City’s side and likely to start at left-back for England at the World Cup.
Not just a fine defender, but a genuine goal threat, as he proved with both goals as City beat Arsenal 2-0 in The Carabao Cup Final at Wembley in March. Also helped City win the FA Cup in Pep Guardiola’s final season.

Nico O'Reilly - young player of the season without question. His impact on City's play is huge - defensively, as a creative midfielder & penalty box finisher all in the same move. His natural talent & attitude together with Pep's guiding hand has produced a potential world beater.

Declan Rice = player of the season (didnt have a bad game throughout) Nico O’Reilly = young player of the season (was very influential in Man City performances and kept his head well) Granit Xhaka = signing of the season (transformed Sunderland and was an inspired signing

The young player of the year award has to go to Nico O’Reilly. This season he’s made his England debut, is going to the World Cup as the Three Lions first choice fullback and scored two goals in a final while winning two trophies.

The 21-year-old has had a stellar breakout season and made that left-back position his own at Manchester City.

I have to admire how well Kobbie Mainoo has been done after being left out for the first half of the season at Manchester United. Also, I really like the look of Alex Scott at Bournemouth.
But Nico O’Reilly has been one of the standout performers at Manchester City this season, which is a feat in itself given the talent in Pep Guardiola’s squad.
He is clearly the best left-back in the Premier League at the moment and has also scored crucial goals.
It will be interesting to see how his career evolves at City without Guardiola’s guiding hand but he is setting the standard for other young players to follow.

There is only one correct answer and that is Kroupi - his goals to minutes ratio suggests we have a serious talent on our hands.

Surely a shout for signing of the season has to be Eli Junior Kroupi? He has been instrumental to Bournemouth's impressive season

Image source, Getty ImagesFew forwards score against Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United in an individual season - let alone in their breakthrough campaign.
But Junior Kroupi has repeatedly stepped up for Bournemouth.
The 19-year-old was playing in Ligue 2 in France last season, but quickly adapted to life in the Premier League following his summer move from Lorient.
In fact, no other teenager has ever bagged more goals (13) in a debut season in the Premier League.
It feels just the start for the talented Frenchman.
Nizaar Kinsella
BBC Sport Chelsea reporter
It is uncommon to see a teenager reach double figures for goals in a Premier League season.
The versatile 19-year-old attacker scored 13 goals in 33 Premier League appearances in his first full season at Bournemouth.
Behind the scenes on the south coast, there is a belief that both Kroupi and Rayan are capable of winning the Ballon d’Or in the near future.
It may prove difficult to keep hold of Kroupi, who is attracting interest from Champions League clubs, but Bournemouth will try after qualifying for European football for the first time in their history.

Kroupi will go on to have a fantastic career. Bournemouth should enjoy him while they can.

Michael Kayode is never going to be picked as the best young player by anyone but Brentford fans BUT I'm not sure I'd swap him for any other player in the PL (maybe only Timber). The kid can do everything.

Young player of the season has to be Lewis Hall. The Geordies can’t stop singing about him. Met Tuchel in March and he seemed really keen on him then, especially with the LB spot up for grabs. Really don’t know what’s changed. Travesty he’s not on the plane.
