The decision to hold equestrian events in Greenwich Park is one of the most controversial choices made by the Olympic authorities, as the Deliverance team discovers, as the comedy continues. Among the many groups of people who are against it are local residents, led by self-styled maverick film director Tony Ward. Given that it's now over 30 years since he made his one – and so far only – successful film, Ward has had a lot of time on his hands to think about how angry he is and to plan his campaign of protest.
It starts with the arrival of an enormous pile of horse manure on the pavement outside the Olympic Deliverance Commission offices and climaxes with a live head-to-head debate with Head of Deliverance Ian Fletcher on BBC Radio 4's Today programme.
Meanwhile, in Ian's personal life, manure of a different kind finally hits the fan and he finds himself effectively locked out of his own house by his wife. Fortunately, his ever-loyal PA Sally is on hand and completely ready to pick up the pieces.
Tony Ward is played by Tim McInnerny, Ian Fletcher by Hugh Bonneville and Sally by Olivia Colman.

Leonardo is flying high with his latest invention, as the action-packed drama series following the teenage Leonardo da Vinci and his friends in 15th-century Florence continues. But the young genius is brought down to earth with a bump when he has to help Mac out of a tricky situation.
Leonardo's newest and most exciting invention is ready to be launched: a flying machine. Leo's sure his wings will work; Lisa is convinced he will end up dead.
And Leo's not the only one putting himself in danger. Mac has double-crossed the wrong man, a shady Florentine named Rizzo – and Rizzo's determined to get his revenge.
After leaping from a tower for a test flight, Leo plummets to the ground, but his invention still catches Rizzo's eye. He gives Leo two days to make a working set of wings, or Mac's the one who's going to pay... But unknown to the gang and to Rizzo, head of the shady Luminari, Piero de' Medici is also interested in the wings.
Leonardo is played by Jonathan Bailey, Lisa by Flora Spencer-Longhurst, Mac by Akemnji Ndifornyen, and Piero de' Medici by Alistair McGowan.
