Tom Warmington with cake

Tom tries to hide his sadness at leaving

Tom bids his final Ying

Not a dry eye in the house this week as the Ray Clark Breakfast Show's roving reporter, Tom, waved farewell and headed to the bright lights of children's television.

Cheerio, cheeky monkey!

It's been a sad week for the Ray Clark Breakfast Show. After covering every corner of the county for us, our roving reporter Tom Warmington has hung up his microphone.

Tom's Tracy Island

Tom's Tracy Island was a triumph of engineering

Tom's off to pastures new and will be working on TV's most famous children's programme, Blue Peter.

To make sure Tom was up to his new challenge, we set him a series of tests. First, he had to make his version of Tracy Island in an hour and then answer a series of questions about the beloved pets to have appeared on the show over the years.

Click on the link below to hear how he got on...

Good luck Tom from all of us - and hope to have you back with us soon.

Courgette chaos!

Thanks to my neighbour, I was presented with three large courgettes this week, which she grew with her kids on her allotment.

Tom thanks Claire for his special leavig cake

I'd roasted some the other week, so wanted to do something different with them. Your suggestions of what I should do with them were fabulous, some of them we could even broadcast!

I plumped for the ratatouille idea, adding peppers, onion, tomatoes, garlic and herbs. It turned out really nice - and lasted for two night's tea!

Thanks to Glynnis from Harlow for sending a cake recipe and special thanks to Marion from Chelmsford for making a courgette cake and bringing it in for us... very tasty!!

Ray's back - but not as we know it!

We return to Planet Ray on Monday... and a special week is in store! Ray's hitting the road and taking the Ray Clark Breakfast Show to a beach near you. Click here to see where he's going to be and when.

A Happy Ending??

Thanks to Mark and Alison for doing most of the work this week on the story that you help to write. Click here if you missed any of it. It's left us all asking "what happened to Andy?"

Film Teases, not that taxing!

I know, I know, I said I'd make the clues harder this week, but not sure they were that tricky...

If you missed any of them - here they are again:

Look out for some messy movers = Dirty Dancing
That's the spirit! = Ghost
Looking after Whitney = The Bodyguard
Teaching the lovely meter maid a thing or two = Educating Rita
This film is perfect for American insomniacs = Sleepless in Seattle
