Tonight, cloudy and blustery for the Isles with a further outbreaks of rain, especially for Shetland. The mainland will have variable cloud and the occasional shower, mainly for inland areas.

Wednesday

Tomorrow will be cloudy with further showers, these heavy for parts of the mainland and Orkney through the afternoon. Showers easing through the evening with late spells of sunshine for the mainland.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday

Thursday will start cloudy with patchy rain moving northwards over the mainland and the Isles. It will turn drier in the afternoon with some sunny spells for the mainland before another spell of rain moves in towards the end of the day. Friday will have variable cloud and showers, these turning locally heavy over the mainland. Mainly dry on Saturday with bright spells. Warmer.
