Today will be windy, cold and unsettled with scattered showers flowing in from the north-west. These will be heavy at times with a risk of hail and hill snow. Intermittent sunshine in between showers.

Staying windy overnight with further wintry showers on the hills, potentially at lower levels at times too. By dawn, the showers will become increasingly scarce as winds also slightly ease.
Saturday
Early sunshine and isolated showers tomorrow morning will become replaced by cloud by midday. Through the afternoon, it will become very windy with heavy rain and heavy snow as Storm Dave arrives.
Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday
Windy on Sunday morning, especially in Caithness. Scattered snow showers will develop down at low levels in the morning with a risk of hail, later becoming increasingly confined to the hills as they ease. Plenty of sunshine on Monday morning but turning windy with some passing cloud in the afternoon. Milder and sunny on Tuesday with a risk of a shower in the afternoon.
