Climbing for Romania in honour of late mother

When Mary Falconer took up bouldering three years ago to help cope with the loss of her mother, little did she know it could set her on a path to becoming an Olympian.

The 15-year-old from Pembrokeshire is among the top youth climbers in the UK and has chosen to represent her mum's native Romania at European competitions this summer.

She hopes it might lead to selection for the 2028 Olympic Games, which she says "would be a dream come true".
