Away from the WSL for a moment and down to the second division, where Burnley manager Jackie Bachteler has a remarkable story to tell.

The American will be in the dugout at Turf Moor today for the first time - less than a year after being diagnosed with sepsis and fighting for her life just weeks after joining the club.

It took her months to recover and she still suffers from regular post-sepsis symptoms, but it has given 37-year-old Bachteler a new perspective on life.

It's a huge result for Palace, you can see the emotion in the coaching staff, the squad and the bench. That was an absolute shift by them, they had to dig deep and it wasn't pretty at times. They came here with a gameplan, frustrate Arsenal, who had chances but couldn't convert.

As the frustration grew, Palace's confidence grew. They thoroughly deserve those points.

That's a massive point for Palace. Two clean sheets for Jo Potter, last year they only had one so already they've shown improvement. For the amount of opportunities and possession Arsenal had, this Palace side showed a really good stubbornness in the box.

Palace players and staff, led by manager Jo Potter, celebrate in front of their away fans - and rightly so.

Amid all the noise about the subs controversy last weekend, they never lost their concentration today.

There might be an asterisk next to it for now, but they have four points from the opening two games.

Arsenal had 30 shots, nine on target. They had 79% possession, including SEVENTY-FOUR touches in the Palace box.

But they could not get it done. Could that cost them in the long run of the WSL title race?
