Brilliant run by Yeboah then he set it back really nicely for Valencia to have the pop at goal. Ecuador need to do more of that, they need to start turning that back four of Germany a little more.

Jeremy Antonisse is on for Curacao, with Livano Comenencia going off. Antonisse is almost involved straight away from a ball forwards, but it bounces away from him and is collected by Yahia Fofana.

    On Curacao's poor counter-attack play....

You need control of the football if you can to lull the opposition into a false sense of security. You need a centre-forward presence to allow your team to play that way. Unfortunately for Curacao, Jurgen Locadia is not that man.

  7. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 22:21 BST

There is one of the moments that Curacao continue to work for.

Sherel Floranus cuts across the football and he has got Yahia Fofana worried. It was always rising.

An opportunity for Curacao's Sherel Floranus out of nothing, shooting first time with a loose ball.

The ball zips just over the top, with Ivory Coast keeper Yahia Fofana certainly worried as he threw himself at the ball. Close, but not close enough.

  10. 'Kessie had too much time'published at 22:15 BST

Franck Kessie almost had too much time. He comes back inside, takes a couple of seconds. He should have struck that on target. It was like it was in slow motion.

  11. CLOSE!published at 22:15 BST

    Curacao 0-1 Ivory Coast

Ivory Coast looking to wrap this one up and captain Franck Kessie shoots from 18 yards out. It takes a deflection and that leaves goalkeeper Eloy Room rooted to the ground, watching on. Luckily for him the ball is just wide of goal.

Ecuador fans are so frustrated with that Enner Valencia passage of play that they're shouting for 'Jordy'.

Presumably that's a chant for Jordy Caicedo, their other striker.

  13. 'No need for Valencia to slow down'published at 22:14 BST

    Ecuador 1-1 Germany

    Alan Shearer
Former England striker on BBC One

Valencia just slowed everything down. There were so many yellow shirts bursting forward, there was no need to take his time. It completely stopped them from getting into a forward position and allowed Germany to get back.

Ecuador burst forward at pace but Enner Valencia decides to do the complete opposite and slows the play right down, despite the onrushing yellow shirts.

The refereeing at this tournament is insane, I think the refs have been told to not call anything and it is showing. Started out fun saying the refs are letting it play but now it seems they don’t call anything then rely on VAR. I don’t like it.

  18. YELLOW CARDpublished at 22:11 BST

    Ecuador 1-1 Germany

Alan Franco goes into the referee's book for a bit of petulance. He kicks the ball away so Germany can't take a throw in.

  19. Postpublished at 22:09 BST

The contact on Vite was the reason Germany were able to win the ball back and get into an attacking position, and it was a foul.

  20. NO PENALTYpublished at 22:08 BST

    Ecuador 1-1 Germany

The referee overturns her original decision thanks to an earlier foul in the build up.

It was a foul on Kai Havertz in the box, but it doesn't matter because Leroy Sane's foul on Pedro Vite was what started it all. And that was definitely a foul.
