Jorge Grant's late double sealed a win for Salford at 10-man Cheltenham to keep them top of the table.

The result extends the Ammies' winning run in League Two to four and it was also their first victory at Cheltenham.

The opening goal came when a prone Freddy Willcox attempted to clear from his own box, but Grant's challenge was perfectly timed and the ball flew into the net for his first of the season.

He added his second in the third minute of added time, finishing well into the top right corner after Kallum Cesay's pass to make sure of the points.

Cheltenham had Ben Stevenson sent off for denying Brendan Wiredu a clear goalscoring opportunity near the edge of the box in the 78th minute.

The home side had given as good as they had got until then, but they failed to seriously test Will Norris in the Salford goal.

Macaulay Langstaff was denied by Wyll Stanway after being played in on goal five minutes before half-time.

The game changed after Stevenson's dismissal as Salford made their extra man count to continue their fine run under Peter Cklamovski.
