Huddersfield are the new leaders of League One and remain unbeaten after defeating Oxford United 3-1 tonight.

Sheffield Wednesday are just behind the Terriers thanks to a 2-1 victory at Wycombe.

Leyton Orient's big win at Bromley moves them into the top six.

At the bottom, Wigan will try to get their first points of the season at home to MK Dons tomorrow night.

Five teams had been level on points at the top of League Two before tonight. The picture is slightly clearer now as Bristol Rovers lead the pack, thanks to a 2-0 win over eighth-placed Colchester.

Crewe's late leveller means that Walsall missed the chance to go top and reach 10 points.

Rochdale's comfortable home win over Shrewsbury Town pulls Dale up off the bottom of the league table, with Port Vale now in 24th after losing to Swindon Town.

Swindon came from behind to beat Port Vale 3-1 thanks to goals from Aaron Drinan, Ben Middlemas and Louis Millard. Oliver Lynch was on the scoresheet for the Valiants.

Salford's Taylor Allen equalised before Kelly N'Mai grabbed the winner after Newport's Harrison Biggins had given the Welsh side the lead.

Northampton managed to hold Crawley to a 1-1 draw despite losing Lee Evans to a red card. Nathaniel Opoku's opener was cancelled out by Dion Pereira.

Idris Kanu opened the scoring for Barnet before Reece Cole equalised for Exeter in a 1-1 draw.

Fleetwood's Ronan Coughlan salvaged a point for the home side after Oldham's Kane Drummond had put his side ahead.

Chesterfield's Josh Koroma opened the scoring before Gillingham's Ronan Hale equalised in a 1-1 draw.

Despite missing an earlier penalty, Charlie McCann scored the winner for Cheltenham after Jake Evans had scored twice in their 3-2 win over York. Goals from Oliver Pearce and Jovan Malcolm were not enough for the visitors.

Accrington overturned a two-goal deficit to draw thanks to goals from Josh Woods and Tyler Walton after Andy Cook and a Joe Anderson own goal had put Grimsby 2-0 ahead.

Tom James opened the scoring before a late goal from Ellis Harrison secured Bristol Rovers a 2-0 win over Colchester.

Leicester’s two goals in stoppage-time of the first half from Harry Howell and Will Alves gave the Foxes a 2-0 win over Plymouth.

Sheffield Wednesday held on to beat Wycombe 2-1 thanks to goals from Jamal Lowe and Louie Barry, in response to Cauley Woodrow’s opener.

Isaac Hutchinson’s goal was cancelled out by Owen Cooper as Doncaster draw 1-1 with Notts County.

Neither Peterborough nor Stevenage could find a breakthrough as it ended 0-0 at the Weston Homes Stadium.

Bromley's 27-game unbeaten league run at home is ended in emphatic style by Leyton Orient.

Jaze Kabia and Yusuf Akhamrich grab a brace apiece and Armando Dobra added a late fifth - it could have been worse for the home side.

Leyton Orient collect a second successive away win to start a league season for the first time since 2015.

Bromley have leaked 12 goals in two matches - welcome to League One lads.

Having scored just once in the league this season before today, Rochdale score three to get their first points on the board in League Two.

They move off the bottom of the table and up to 19th, thanks to goals from Baba Adeeko, Luke Hannant and Jonny Smith.

It is a third defeat of the league season for Shrewsbury, who have now failed to score in four consecutive away league games.

Tom Bradshaw's penalty snatches a point for the visitors just when it looked like Tranmere had sealed all three points late on.

Zane Okoro's first-half strike had given the hosts the lead initially, but in a frantic finish to the match, substitute Aaron Nemane fired in at the far post to make it 1-1.

Just three minutes later, it looked like Tom ince had scored the winning goal with a deflected strike, but when Bobby Faulkner was sent off and the referee gave Rotherham a penalty, Bradshaw stepped up and slotted home.

Crewe grab an added-time leveller through defender Reece Hutchinson and the points are shared.

Aaron Pressley's penalty had put Walsall in front, only for Crewe striker Josh March to equalise just after the half-time break.

Pressley poked in a second seven minutes later, but Crewe kept up the pressure to take a point late on, preventing Walsall from going top of the League Two table.

It also would have been the first time since 2015-16 that the Saddlers had won their first two away league games at the start of a season.

Huddersfield Town are top of League One.

Joe Taylor's late brace, making it five for the season sees the home side eventually get the job done.

Bojan Radulovic had given the Terriers the lead only for Gatlin O'Donkor to equalise.

But Taylor's quality settled it and on this evidence Huddersfield look decent bet to be right up there this season.
