Clealry Clark was given that job this evening and she has done a really, really good job.

Alejandra Bernabe sends a delivery towards the box and it takes a deflection.

Natalia Ramos then hits the ball on the half-volley but can't keep it down.

Beata Olsson, who hasn't had much of the ball but has produced some nice movement, is replaced by Aurelie Csillag.

That's the end of Beth Mead's first start for Manchester City.

She's replaced by Grace Clinton.

The home fans seem a little happier at the moment.

City have been much better in the past 20 minutes or so.

A curling delivery from Yui Hasegawa nearly catches out Khiara Keating, but she manages to claw it away.

It falls to Jade Rose after a headed clearance but her half-volley goes over.

Fuka Nagano slides in on Beth Mead to prevent a counter-attack and is rightly booked.

File that one under 'professional foul'.

Before making those changes, the balance of play seemed to be changing a tad in this one. Manchester City have been having more luck in the final third.

Straight away City have got their substitutes involved and they've got a spring in their step. You can tell they've been told to just look for the forward ball.

Time for a triple change for Manchester City.

Mary Fowler, Laura Blindkilde Brown and Iman Beney make way.

Aoba Fujino, Sam Coffey and Kerstin Casparij replace them.

A BIG chance for Manchester City.

They release Lauren Hemp down the left and she plays an excellently-weighted low delivery towards Khadija Shaw.

She prods it towards goal but Khiara Keating reacts quickly and parries it behind.

Both players did excellently there. There were moments where Bunny Shaw was a little bit ahead but Clark was patient in her defending.

Great one-v-one battle there and Clark came out on top.

Liverpool fashion a nice opportunity after working the ball into the box but soon have a reminder of the threat they face.

A loose ball is played to Khadija Shaw and she surges up the pitch.

It takes some excellent marshalling from Jenna Clark to deal with her and prevent Shaw having a shot.

How did Endemann travel that distance with very little pressure from Man City? I expect City to press aggressively and certainly not allow any player to shoot from that distance.

Vivien Endemann has another crack.

Liverpool have come out really strong this half and I think Man City need to wake up a bit - they seem two or three yards off the Liverpool players at the moment.

Manchester City have dropped deep since the restart and Liverpool are enjoying it.

They've set up shop around the final third.

If you look at Man City's midfield at the moment, I think they're just too far away and it's leaving so much space for the Liverpool midfield.

They were invited to drive it through the middle so I think City need to be tighter there when they're defending.
