Armand Duplantis speaking to BBC Sport about whether the winning feeling ever gets old: "No, not so much. It feels really good. This is my fourth one of these in a row now which is pretty crazy. I am getting pretty old and it's going quick so I'm just trying not take it for granted and enjoy it as much as I can.
"This is really special. It has been a funky year by my standards so to come out here and win, that was the most important.
"Every time I go to the track I want to leave my mark and do something no one has done before so the championship record feels really good."
That silver medal for Matt Hudson-Smith in the men's 4x400m was his ninth in European Championship history. No man has ever won more.
Just behind him is Zharnel Hughes, who now has eight European medals - six of them gold.

Great Britain's men's 4x400m relay team, speaking to BBC Sport:
Matthew Hudson-Smith: "I mean, obviously, we wanted the gold. All things considered, we win as a team and we lose as a team.
"Incredibly proud of the boys. We came, and we battled and that is all that matters. This is just the start and we will build upon it. We know how to deliver when it matters."
Toby Harries: "I knew Matt would likely give me the lead, so it was about holding that lead. This time around, my legs were cooked. It was a massive fight on that leg. I think I executed it pretty well, but I didn't have the legs for the finish."
Ben Jeffries: "Definitely feeling it. If you follow me closely, I don't race often and that's usually by design. This is my fourth race of the week, and I am relatively inexperienced legs and my ankle was only just in spikes last week."
Charlie Dobson: "I was so close. It was another 5m needed, but it is what it is. The boys did incredibly well. It has been a tough week for different reasons. Incredible and a really nice way to end a week."

Well done Team GB. Awesome on the track. However, Italy pipped us due to them picking up golds in the field events. Where have all our field athletes gone? Jaz Sawyers was the only one to pick anything up. We’re missing out on those.

Great Britain's women's 4x400m relay team have been speaking to BBC Sport after winning silver tonight.
Yemi Mary: "I think we have got incredible depth. Sort of since Martyn [Rooney] stepped up and what we have stepped up to do has been incredible in recent years. Looking forward to more medals and adding more golds."
Lina Nielsen: "After last year at Tokyo - we didn't do what we wanted that year. That belief was instilled into us by Martyn Rooney and Darren Campbell. We weren't afraid to fight for it."
Emily Newnham: "I just wanted to take it to her [Femke Bol]. I have watched her relay before, where she slows the pace down. Before we went out there, we wanted to trust ourselves and trust our training."

Great Britain's Jazmin Sawyers, speaking to BBC Sport: "I am so happy. I did not anticipate this, this year. After the Commonwealths I was thinking who knows what I might get? That was a crazy final. It was so close.
"I almost feel like I should be annoyed at being so close to winning it, but I can't, I am just so happy. According to the rankings, I was going to scrape into the final. An outdoor PB may I add. I am so chuffed.
"I am so happy I have got to give so much credit to Aston Moore. My coach is king. He is the best.
"He knows what to say and when to say it. He is such an exceptional man. None of those jumps were right, so I wanted another round. I brought my best to a championship final twice in a row.
"I am so pleased. This is 10 years after my first European medal. I matched it. I would have loved to have gone one better."
On questioning her comeback during rehab for an Achilles injury: "There were minuscule moments where I doubted it.
"The only reason I was able to get through it like I was because I believed I could get back here.
"It is not that I was getting back to get back. I was getting back to better than I had ever been."

On Georgia Hunter Bell possibly competing in the 800m and 1500m event at the 2028 LA Games...
It would be nice. There's a lot of synergy there with Kelly Holmes.
Kelly won the bronze medal in the Olympics when she was 30 years of age and Georgia will be 34 in LA, like Kelly was in Athens when she did the double.
The programme does work. We have looked at that already.
She was so relaxed in the heat. I laughed when she said she was a caged animal. She had been texting Trevoh [coach] and I. She definitely had FOMO [fear of missing out] when the championships had started.
She is here and she is ready.

Georgia Hunter Bell, speaking to BBC Sport: "No, it wasn't easy. It is never easy guys.
"I did feel really calm and really confident. I have been on a win streak and I have had lots of failures before when I have been the favourite.
"We go through everything. Jen [Jenny Meadows] quizzes me. Lots of times the race doesn't go how we planned. Because we did the prep, I feel ready to adjust to however it goes.
"It was nice to come down the home stretch and know I had it. It is just special. Another gold. I am hoping to make it four in September."
On competing in the 800m in the future: "I am excited to throw my hat in the ring there. I had some FOMO [fear of missing out] last night when I saw them on the podium."
On the medal table: "I am keeping a close eye on the medal table as this gold is important if we want to win overall."
That was such a frantic final hour of the championships, we barely had any time to dwell on Georgia Hunter Bell's superb gold medal in the women's 1500m.
