Dan Walker and guests discuss the week's main issues and look ahead to the weekend's fixtures, with the latest from the Arsenal and Birmingham camps ahead of tomorrow's League Cup final at Wembley. Can Alex McLeish's side upset the odds and deny Arsenal their first silverware since 2005?

Saturday 26 February
9.10-10.00pm BBC ONE

Kirsty and Adam face unwelcome enquiries from the police, Jay's judgement is affected by his preoccupation with his health and Nita gives Kirsty further cause for concern, as the medical drama continues.

Kirsty and Adam receive an unwelcome visit from DI Collins, who is investigating Warren's accident. Adam tries to comfort Kirsty by gently touching her arm, which is noticed by DI Collins. Kirsty asks Adam to not mention the domestic abuse: she doesn't want to be seen as a battered wife. Adam is unsure but, when DI Collins returns, Adam keeps to his word and doesn't mention the violence.

After his discovery of a lump in the testicular area, Jay is deeply preoccupied and his judgement at work is affected. When he finally confesses his concerns to Miriam, she persuades him to go and see a doctor. But will Jay pluck up the courage to actually go in this time?

Nita, meanwhile, catches Adam comforting Kirsty and, jumping to conclusions, hurries off to school, deeply disturbed by what she's seen. When Nita's boyfriend Rich, who's just attended a sex education class, says he'd like to take his studies a bit further, Nita is horrified and pushes him into a banister, breaking his jaw. Later, Kirsty confronts Nita about Rich's injuries and Nita tells her that Rich wanted to have sex but that Nita refused because she didn't want to turn into a slut like her mother. In a moment of madness, Kirsty slaps her.

Checking on her daughter later, Kirsty is distraught to find Nita's bedroom empty and a note on the bed...

Kirsty is played by Lucy Gaskell, Adam by Tristan Gemmill, Jay by Ben Turner, Nita by Holly Earl, DI Collins by Emma Cunniffe, Miriam by Cheryl Campbell and Rich by Jack Edwards.

My Life – Stammer School Ep 2/6

Saturday 26 February
11.15-11.45am BBC TWO

Five per cent of British children will suffer from a stammer at some point in their lives. For some it can become a very real problem they cannot cure, but can learn to control. Narrated by Blue Peter's Andy Akinwolere, this uplifting documentary follows six children as they take part in an intensive two-week course at the Michael Palin Centre for Stammering Children, which could change their lives.

This week, Stammer School finds out how Charlotte, Aidan, Oscar, Tom, Isa and Lili's stammers impact on their daily lives. It follows them across the fortnight as they get to know each other and take part in exercises designed to increase their confidence and improve their fluency techniques.

There is excitement among the group when Michael Palin drops by to sit in on one of the sessions and he also tells the programme how his father's severe stammer led him to support the centre.

As the fortnight draws to a close, the young pupils face their biggest challenges to date. They have to buy something for lunch from a market stall and, for their final challenge, stand in front of an audience and talk for 30 seconds.
