One preganant woman say she enta hospital wit all her organs intact, but afta her caesarean section she discover say something dey miss for her body.
Barira Alhassan na middle aged woman wey for Gombe State, northern Nigeria, wey dey accuse doctors for State Specialist Hospital say dem remove one of her kidneys during Caesarean Section (C-section).
Allegation wey di management of State Specialist Hospital, Gombe don deny.
According to her family, medical scans wey dem do before di operation show say she get two healthy kidneys.
But afta di operation, she come sick seriously, and further medical tests reportedly show say she now get only one kidney.
For interview wit BBC News Pidgin, di patient, Mrs Barira Alhassan, tok say she do di operation on April 8, 2026, and few days later she begin face serious health problems.
"Few days afta di operation, I come sick seriously. I begin dey vomit, get serious stomach pain, my bodi come swell, and I dey feel pain anytime wey I pee," she tok.
"Na wetin make me ask oda women wey don do C-section if dem too dey feel like dis afta operation bicos dis na di first time wey I do operation despite say I don born ten pikin," she add.
She tok say na one doctor wey examine her first tell am say she get only one kidney. She say di news shock her well well.
"I bicome very anxious when di doctor tell me say I get only one kidney. E even ask me whether I sell am.
"I tell am say no. Na den e begin comfort me, tell me say person wey get one kidney fit still live normal life like evri bodi, e come give me some medicine," Barira tok.
"As e be now, afta we insist say dem must tell us wetin happun, e be like say di hospital dey try persuade us make di matter no come outside."
Afta Barira family hear di news, dem go enta complaint for di hospital. Later, dem ask for her medical records from Gombe State Specialist Hospital, but dem tell dem say dem no fit find any record wey belong to her.
Barira broda, Zakaria Alhassan, tell BBC News Pidgin say dem report di matter to di hospital bicos one scan wey dem do for Barira for 2015 show say she get two kidneys.

"Our papa go di hospital make e know wetin happun, but e no get any good explanation, e tell dem say e wan know wetin happun to im daughter kidney wey lose one of her kidney" Zakariyya tok.
E add say, "Even when di hospital check dia records, dem no fit find anytin about Barira, despite say she dey go di hospital and na for dia she born.
"Dis one make our concern and e increase our suspicion about wetin dem do to our sister."
Di family tok say dem don submit several complaints but dem never get any satisfactory response.
Oga Alhassan tok say when e see say no progress dey, e write petition give Gombe State Ministry of Health, dey seek justice and ask make dem investigate wetin happun.
"Later, I bicom directly involved for di case and write petition dey seek justice and asking for investigation. Later, di ministry invite my sister, her husband and hospital staff, wia dem ask make di mata no go public until dem finish di investigation."
Alhassan tok say e still no satisfy wit di way dem dey handle di case. Di family now dey call for investigation into wetin happen.
Barira too tok say she want justice.
"Wetin I want na make dem carry out proper investigation to explain how I take lose my kidney and make I get justice," she tok.

Gombe Specialist Hospital deny allegation say dem remove woman kidney during C-section
Di management of State Specialist Hospital, Gombe, deny allegations say one of dia doctors remove one woman's kidney during Caesarean Section wey dem do for di hospital.
