President Tinubu sign 68 trillion naira 2026 budget, extend operation of 2025 budget
Nigeria President Bola Tinubu don sign di 2026 appropriation bill wey provide for how dem go spend 68.32 trillion naira ($50bn).

Oga Tinubu also sign di bill wey extend di implementation period for di 2025 budget from March 31, 2026, to June 30, 2026.

Rememba say President Tinubu bin present 2026 budget to a joint session of di National Assembly for December 2025.
Oga Tinubu call am di "Budget of Consolidation, Renewed Resilience and Shared Prosperity wia e present di budget wey worth 58.18 trillion naira [wey be about $41.5 billion] to di lawmakers on Friday 19 December, 2025.
Highlights of 2026 budget
According to Onanuga, dis na how di 2026 budget of 68.32 trillion go take waka:
- From di budget 4.799 trillion naira ($3.5bn) go be for statutory transfers,
- 15.8 trillion naira ($11.6bn)go be for debt service
- Dem allocate 15.4 trillion naira ($11.1bn) to recurrent expenditure
- 32.2 trillion naira ($23.9) go be for Capital Expenditure
