One of German football's top-tier clubs has appointed its first female head coach.
Marie-Louise Eta has been named as manager of Bundesliga side Union Berlin until the end of the season.
She becomes the first woman to take charge of a men's team in any of Europe's top five leagues.
The 34-year-old is no stranger to breaking barriers - in 2023 she became the Bundesliga's first female assistant coach, also with Union Berlin.

What's been announced about Marie-Louise Eta?

Eta, a former Women's Champions League winner with Turbine Potsdam, is already known at the club having been appointed as Union Berlin's under-19s manager this season.
She is also due to become the club's women's head coach in the summer.
Union Berlin are currently sat in 11th place in the 18-team Bundesliga, having only won twice in 14 league matches this year.
Eta said she was looking forward to taking charge of the team.
She explained: "I am delighted the club has entrusted me with this challenging task. One of Union's strengths has always been, and remains, the ability to pull together in such situations.
"I am convinced that we will secure the crucial points," she added.
With Eta now in charge, it marks the first time a woman has led a men's side in one of Europe's top five leagues.
In 1999, Carolina Morace became the first woman to manage a men's professional team in Europe, when she took charge of Italian third division side Viterbese.
And three years ago, Forest Green Rovers appointed Hannah Dingley as caretaker manager - although she did not take charge of a competitive fixture.
