The people of Guinea still do not know whether the crucial second round of presidential elections will be taking place in two days time, as scheduled, or not.

The new electoral commissioner, General Siaka Toumani Sangare (right) has yet to meet the two presidential candidates to discuss the issue.
Significant shortfalls have also been discovered in the preparations for the election which also point to a possible postponement of the polls.
