The Nigerian militant leader, Henry Okah has appeared in a South African court today.
He was arrested at his home in Johannesburg over the weekend.
Mr Okah headed a faction of the MEND group - active in the oil-rich Niger Delta region.
His court appearance comes three days after deadly blasts in the Nigerian capital, Abuja claimed at least 10 lives.
