Video NationYou are in: Tyne > Video Nation > The Long Dragon  Students helped build the dragon The Long DragonBy Reuben Abraham Artist Chun Chao worked with local schoolchildren to make dancing Chinese dragons as part of The Long Project. The dragon has always held a special place in Chun Chao's heart, ever since his childhood in Taiwan. Now based in Newcastle upon Tyne and working as an artist and lecturer, Chun Chao decided to bring the dragon to life with the help of local schoolchildren. Students from several schools made different parts of the dragon which were then joined together. It turned out to be one of the longest dragons Newcastle has ever seen.
