IMPROMANIA

Impromania is an improvised comedy show in support of Comic Relief, made up on the spot, based on audience suggestions.

Impromania

Impromania

It stars Natalie Wilcox from the recent Watford Palace production of sex-strike comedy LYSISTRATA. Also appearing in the show are Oliver Hume, Mark Hayden and Rosalind Blessed (with a possible surprise guest appearance).

Make suggestions of scenes you would like the IMROMANIACS to play. Watch them create a story on the spur of the moment... or ‘die’ in front of you in your choice of film, TV or theatre style. Ask them to re-enact the day you met your partner, or give them a suggestion of where two people may meet and they will enact your idea, quickly changing the style of their performance at your behest, mid-scene; they will play what you shout out - Shakespeare, Brecht, panto, West End musical, horror, thriller, rom-com and more!

Venue: Watford Palace Theatre
Date: Saturday 14 March 2009 at 9.15 pm (one hour show)

Giant Parrot Loose

On Friday 13th March 2009, Joe Murphy from Willen Juniors F.C. will be raising money for Comic Relief by dressing up in a GIANT PARROT costume ALL DAY instead of his usual suit and tie.

After eating crackers for breakfast, he will drive to MK railway station and get a rush hour train and tube to work. On his return at 6.30pm, Joe will make an appearance in The Ship Ashore Pub in Willen for more ridicule and banter from the locals and strangers alike – wearing the Parrot costume for the entire day.

He hope to raise £500 for Comic Relief from work colleagues at Ivory & Ledoux Ltd and parents from Willen F.C. plus anyone else who takes pity on him during the London and MK rush hours.

Joe Murphy is a 43-year-old Food Importer and Trader who is married with four boys, from Willen. He is an F.A. licensed coach who manages both Willen U10 Rhinos F.C. and St. Monica’s U9 F.C.

Up until Red Nose Day on Friday 13 March, TK Maxx will be holding a number of different charity initiatives to raise vital funds for this very worthy cause. So far they have sold cakes, had face painting sessions and dress down days. They are also the official distributor of the Stella McCartney designed Red Nose Day T-shirts.

Every T-shirt bought will help Comic Relief change millions of lives in the UK and Africa. So far, from their fundraising efforts and T-shirt sales, the store has raised a fantastic £4,000.

At Subway, 1p from the sale of every 6" sub and 2p from the sale of every foot long sub is being donated.
