It’s amazing how the mind alters how you play on the table. With the first five frames Wu Yize didn’t look like he could pot a long ball or score when he got in. Now, he’s got that confidence back, that freedom of thinking, and the game is now easy again.

Wu gets to 61 but when potting the blue there is not a pot on a red. Murphy 5-61 behind, 56 behind, 67 on the table. This session's not done yet.

Wu is in a good position to make it three in a row. Any questions about his temperament have been answered. Can he wrap up a third successive frame?

When Shaun Murphy won the first five frames of this session, he must have thought he'd have been ahead going into the last instalment of this final.

However, Wu Yize's recent burst - and his current break in frame 25 - means the Englishman is likely to be one frame behind.

Wu Yize has shown great character here because I have to say he was gone. Shaun kept winning all those frames, but this has been brilliant.

Wu could've lost this session very heavily but now he is back in the match. He was down on the canvas, but got back up and is back in the fight - he looks like the player he did yesterday.

It's just incredible how the narrative can change quickly. All of a sudden Shaun Murphy will feel on the back foot. If he is behind going into tonight's last session he will feel a bit let down and Wu would be over the moon.

The only difference between the two players is Shaun has won it before and has a bit more experience. Whether that will be the deciding factor, it will be fascinating to find out.

We started today with Wu 10-7 ahead, Murphy went 12-10 in front with five in a row, but now Wu has two on the bounce to make it 12-12.

Wu gets back to the table after Murphy turns down a tough blue and he's now in a strong position to make it 12-12.

"Good shot," shouts out someone from the crowd as Wu looks to pot a third fine long red, but the fan has gone early with that one as the red stays out with Murphy coming to the table 0-27 down.

For a second time in this frame, Wu shows great technique with a long pot, but then can't take full advantage. He adds nine to the total, 0-23, with Murphy then missing a thin contact to make it 0-27.

As the match time ticks past the seven-hour mark, Wu, after some beautiful cueing to down a long red, stutters at 12, runs out of position and goes safe, 0-12.

We have two more frames in this session before the final session starts at 19:00. We will have a maximum of 10 frames tonight, with it being the first to 18.

He’s been sitting in that chair, and all he has been seeing is "Wu Yize - 10", it hasn’t changed in how many hours, so just to change the score, all he needed to do was get a frame, it doesn't matter how ugly it was. He needed to change the narrative.

Win one of the last two frames. There is nothing wrong with that scoreline coming out of the final session. Absolutely nothing, so, just win one of the final two.

If 22-year-old Wu Yize is to win this title, he would then become the second youngest Crucible winner, after Stephen Hendry, who was only 21 when he beat Jimmy White for his first title in 1990.

Wu Yize just has to stay in touch going into this match later tonight. A two-frame deficit wouldn’t be horrendous because he has tended to turn it on in the evening sessions of the Championship.

That will make Wu feel a lot better about himself. After losing the opening five frames of Monday, he takes the sixth, helped by a break of 64.

It's turning into some final.

If Shaun Murphy wins every frame this afternoon it would become only the fifth time in a Crucible final - where at least six frames have been played - that a player has completed a clean sweep in a session.

The others were Steve Davis v Dennis Taylor in 1985 (0-7), Stephen Hendry v Jimmy White in 1992 where the score went from 10-14 to 18-14, John Parrott v White in 1991 (7-0) and Mark Selby v John Higgins in 2007 when the score went 4-12 to 10-12.

I think every snooker player who has ever played here knows that you are a different player behind than you are in front. It can be easier not looking over your shoulder, and now Wu has nothing to lose.
