Yesterday it was Wow Yize. Right now it's Woe Yize.

Shaun Murphy has really turned the screw after smelling blood. How the Crucible momentum can switch. This is set up for a fascinating mini-session.

Murphy will be feeling absolutely fabulous. Knowing [coach] Peter [Ebdon], he will say 'well done pal', and that’s it - then back down to business. Never too high, never too low. He couldn’t ask for any more, than to win the first four frames. He’s given himself a springboard.

The pressure in some ways might come off for [Wu]. He’s been in the front, and then all of a sudden, [he thinks] 'I've got to start playing now'. It’s not quite the same pressure, sometimes trying to cut a lead and being in front are two completely different things.

Shaun Murphy has applied the pressure and Wu Yize is certainly feeling it.

Wu lost five frames on the spin in his semi-final against Mark Allen and looked to be on the ropes but the longest frame in Crucible history arguably came to his rescue mid-way through the match.

He has scored just 24 points across the previous three frames and will surely be heading to the practice room.

  4. 'Wu won't be feeling good at all'published at 14:53 BST

When he came into the arena. Wu didn't look his relaxed self. The frame where he tried to get out of snookers has unsettled him.

The interval has come at a good time. He can still do it, believe in himself, get to the practice table and wipe the slate clean.

This is the greatest stage and you don't want your opponent to chase you down, it's a horrible feeling, that's why you just need one frame to settle but at the moment he won't be feeling good at all.

Murphy makes a break of 65. It isn't enough to seal the frame in that go, but he then instantly gets another chance and this time he takes it with a run of 55.

From three frames down at the start of the session to one up at the mid-session interval.

Wu needs to clear his head. He has 15 minutes to do so. Maybe straight to the practice table.

What a final we have got.

What Wu Yize needs is Shaun Murphy to trip up when he’s among the balls, but that doesn’t look likely does it?

Wu Yize still looks pretty relaxed, but it’s a lonely seat that, even though you have about a thousand people sitting around you, you’re all on your own and you can’t do anything except sit and watch until you get a chance.

Wu Yize is a fearless competitor. I think he is coping with Crucible pressure, but he is bound to have one bad session.

Wu Yize needs to keep his cool and show he can win.

A shake of the head from Wu as for the second time in this frame he pots a red, only to then be snookered on all colours.

This time he comes off the side cushion to nudge the target green, 6-2.

It's 21 years since Shaun Murphy, then a 22-year-old qualifier, became world champion for the first time.

Will he end the long wait for a second Crucible crown today?

If he does, it will be the longest gap between a player's first and second World Championship titles.

  12. 'Can he produce under pressure?'published at 14:30 BST

    Murphy 10-10 Wu

    John Parrott

Very good from Murphy. He can only do what he’s supposed to do but he would have been dreaming about winning the first three frames just to get back on level pegging.

We have been saying it throughout the Championship with Wu Yize, is this a red flag now? Can he, under pressure, produce? This is the first time he has been in a final and he has been pegged back at 10-10. What does he have?

  13. Postpublished at 14:29 BST

    Murphy 10-10 Wu

Wu pots a red, but there is no luck on the position and he has himself snookered on the pink. He misses the one-cushion escape to give Murphy six points before hitting it at the second attempt, 6-1.

  14. 'Wu just needs a good chance'published at 14:27 BST

If you had told Wu he would be at 10-10 in the final he would've probably accepted it. It's the way it goes in a final, it ebbs and flows. Wu just needs a good chance to get himself settled.

Played three, won three, exactly the start to Monday's play that Shaun Murphy would have been dreaming of.

A break of 52, after one of 76 in the previous frame, draws it level at 10-10.

  17. Watch: Murphy pots two reds in one shotpublished at 14:23 BST

    Murphy 9-10 Wu

Shaun Murphy started this frame by potting two reds in the same shot... he wasn't able to add any further points from that visit, but it looks like 10-10 is imminent.

Both players have missed chances at red, but then Shaun Murphy gets a chance and he takes it to have a good chance for a third frame in a row, 26-13 Murphy, still going.

Ethan and Amy were also here on Saturday after taking the trip over the Pennines from Manchester.

"I think it is going to be really interesting. I am rooting for Shaun but Wu Yize is playing so well. In the session we watched yesterday he was unbelievable, he was barely missing anything," said Ethan.

"Wu is so exciting, if he wins it'll just be really good for the sport generally and Chinese snooker. Shaun will be really up for today though. I think his break-off has been working for him and expect him to stick to it and that is the right move."

Shaun needs to play smart, grind him down.

Great game from both players. Wu Yize can pot some fantastic balls and Shaun will have to use all of his experience to keep up.
