Bevan backs Welsh team in 'best of the best' PWR

Wales scrum-half Keira Bevan says having a Welsh team in England's Premiership Women's Rugby (PWR) league could benefit the struggling national side.

The Welsh Rugby Union (WRU) has formally lodged an expression of interest as the the nine-team top flight league looks to expand.

Bevan currently plays for Bristol Bears, but says she would be interested in coming back to Wales after her contract expires.

"Ultimately, I think all of us want to come and play in Wales," she said, while describing the PWR as the best league in the world.
