England's defence have been much better and more organised but there is a huge opportunity here for France.

Lilli Ives Campion concedes a cynical penalty with France rumbling forward.

They'll have a scrum about 10 metres from England's line. They have to make this count.

I'm here at the Stade with my French husband to be. The atmosphere is amazing. The French supporters are very vocal!

Dear, oh dear, oh dear. Another sketchy offload from France costs them about 15 metres. They were approaching England's 22 - where was the patience?

I think Pauline Barrat was the guilty party.

France are preparing some substitutions. Back row Charlotte Escudero, tipped by Francois Ratier to change the game off the bench, is tucking her hair under her scrum cap.

The changes can't come soon enough. France have just conceded a free-kick from their scrum.

An early bonus for England as Madoussou Fall Raclot is pinged for a tackle off the ball.

Zoe Harrison glances at the posts and opts to go for goal. A three-point gift.

The 6-2 France bench is going to be huge and the game will be hugely attritional. France have to get the first score in the second half.

There's a long strip of sunlight down the right wing from an England point of view.

Never get too comfortable with scorelines like this. The French are tough and never give up. I’ve seen so many almost comebacks from big deficits. Half-time will really help them.

The players are back out for the second half.

Have England got one hand on the trophy or is a France comeback on the cards?

Thumbs up for an England win. Thumbs down for France.

The attendance of this game has just been announced by the French Rugby Federation as 35,062, marking a new record for a Women's Six Nations game in France. The previous mark - around 28,000 - was set at this fixture in 2024.

All is not lost for France.

Remember, they love scoring in the second half, with 19 of their 28 tries in the tournament coming in the second 40 minutes.

But they need to clean up their play in a lot of areas. They committed nine handling errors, conceded 10 turnovers, and had their line-out stolen four times from eight.

Ellie Kildunne's try was the last act of the first half.

Well you could see gradually England's confidence growing. They are relying on their systems and their pre-game tactics and it's just starting to pay off.

Try - France 7-26 Englandpublished at 40 mins

    Ellie Kildunne (missed con)

The clock's in the red but England don't care! They want another try and duly finish the first half with a flourish.

It all started with a kick from Helena Rowland to put England deep in French territory and yet again they shift the ball from coast to coast at speed to leave the try line gaping.

Ellie Kildunne, gobbling up a looping ball, has so much space on the left as she collects her second of the game and secures the bonus point for England.

Zoe Harrison misses the conversion - only her second missed kick of the championship.

France will be wondering what's hit them.

They dominated the ball for the first 20 minutes but sloppy handling and appalling set pieces have hurt them.

England, by contrast, have been clinical whenever they've had a sniff at France's line.

It is a psychological blow for France.

Jess Breach did well because she had to stop to take the ball out of momentum. That was also a good kick from Harrison.
