    I think All Black fans have their proof of concept under Rennie. Regardless of the outcome of this Test, ABs fans are happy with the direction. Line breaks and tries aplenty. Accuracy will come - Rennie's had three months - Rassie nine years.

    The South Africa number eight, who spent four seasons at Leicester Tigers before heading to Japanese club rugby in 2024, made 49 metres with ball in hand, off just eight carries, in the first half.

    Only South Africa full-back Damian Willemse made more ground before the break.
