England head coach John Mitchell spoke highly of Maddie Feaunati before the game.

    She certainly delivered.

The 24-year-old has had to bide her time behind Alex Matthews, but now looks to have made the number eight shirt her own.

Wing spots are always hotly contested in the England squad. Four tries from Claudia Moloney-MacDonald have put her name firmly at the top of the list.

She missed out on a starting spot at last year's World Cup and looks hungry for more international caps.

A big performance from Emma Sing would have put further pressure on John Mitchell to select her at full-back ahead of Ellie Kildunne for the Women's Six Nations next year.

But a break out of nothing showed exactly what Kildunne can do.

Sing had a solid game but struggled off the tee.

Given Kildunne's break came down the wing, could that be another option?

Plenty of time before that conversation is reopened.

  8. 'We wanted to impose ourselves'published at 23:18 GMT

    FT: USA 12-55 England

England captain Meg Jones: "Credit to USA, they have come off the back of some amazing wins and have been phenomenal building the game playing in a stadium like this.

"We wanted to control the game and impose ourselves because they had momentum from their wins. When we got into our game, we started keeping the ball, being patient and everyone was a threat at the line. We became unstoppable and that's where the tries came from.

"Off the back of two losses, we just wanted to learn. We have so much feedback from this tour to go and review. There's so much growth in this team, we are hungry to keep getting better."
