    As dominant a final performance as you are likely to see from Wigan Warriors who were a class above their opponents today.

    They played with a clarity of thought, speed, skill and determination that St Helens were simply unable to cope with.

    Once Wigan got ahead the result never looked in doubt and it was more about how many points the Warriors would score, all the while doing their level best not to let Saints get over for a late consolation.

    A day to remember for these Wigan players, especially four-try Eva Hunter.

    "It was absolutely amazing, it was everything we dreamed of as a team. We built up to this all through pre-season and all through last year and it's great that it's all paid off.

    "We came into it knowing it was going to be a very tough game. We know what Saints are like, we know that they can turn up on a day, but I think we just executed much better and we all dug in.

    "I'm glad we got the win."

    "I'm a bit speechless. I thought last year was a statement but I think today the pressure was on us to do it and be able to execute it again.

    "I thought it would be a real battle today because they're coming for us and to be able to weather that storm at the start was a bit chaotic, but we got our composure back and we were able to execute it at the end and we were able to enjoy it and relax into it. I think that's where we play our best.

    "I'm really thankful for the opportunity to play here and to be able to do it with the girls."

    Two years, two Wigan thrashings of St Helens.

    Obviously Wigan ended Saints' dominance in this competition last year but this was another level altogether.

    Since 2023 the women's and men's final have taken place on the same day at Wembley and we've yet to have a double header where both of one club's women's and men's teams have won in their respective finals.

    Could that change today?

    It's all over and Wigan have won it in a very dominant performance at Wembley!

    The result never looked in doubt and Eva Hunter was among the star performers with four of Wigan's ten tries.
