Melanie Woods has already won two finals in Scotsdoun this week, but she's only got one gold medal to show for it.

After setting a new Games record to triumph in the women's 1500m T54,she risked losing her gold medal Para-athletics authorities had decided the race should be held again following appeals surrounding a first-lap crash.

But the Scot kept her composure in her home city to replicate her initial success, break the record again, and reclaim the gold that was already hers.

She'll be hoping for more success and less drama in the women's 400m T54 final, which is just about to get under way...

If you thought they were handing out 44 golds at the Commonwealths today, you weren’t counting properly at the athletics track.

Between sessions we’ve had every sprint race going, there’s been stewards, volunteers, medical staff.

At least another three golds in there alone, work perks.

A very strong third and final round from England's Damar Thomas and surely that is enough to win the gold?

I think it's safe to say that Australia have won these Commonwealth Games in terms of a medal haul. Fifty more than England in second!

Damar Thomas is on the front foot in this bout, always pushing back Narender Berwal.

The Indian is trying to wait for his moment to land a big blow but Thomas is keeping him suppressed with plenty of quick jabs.

An excellent round for England's Thomas with four 10-9s and even a 10-8 from one of the judges.

England have got a triple threat going into the long jump this evening.

Twelve years after winning her first Commonwealth medal with silver in her fist Games, Jazmin Sawyers is back in Glasgow.

The 32-year-old missed out on the Paris Olympics in 2024 with a ruptured Achilles, so she will be hoping to make up for lost time with a place on the podium.

She landed the second-longest jump in qualifying with 6.80m, just 3cm behind Australia's Brooke Buschkuehl.

Sawyers is joined by England's Molly Ruth Palmer and Lucy Hadaway.

• Her compatriot Emma Finucane picked up her third gold in the women's 1000m time trial.
• Neil Fachie of Scotland collected his seventh Commonwealth Games gold medal, winning in the men's tandem B sprint in a dramatic final.
• Henry Hobbs won gold for Team England with victory in the men's 10km scratch race after a nasty crash in the final lap.
• England's Sophie Unwin claimed bronze in the women's tandem B 100m time trial final.

• In the judo, Ethan Nairne beat Benjamin Levy in an all-English men's -73kg final to win gold.
• Northern Ireland's Josh Green claimed bronze with a golden score victory over Welshman Moore.
• England's Kelly Petersen-Pollard also won gold in the women's -70kg final, while her compatriot Jemima Yeats-Brown secured bronze in the same event.

• Team Northern Ireland boxer Jon McConnell won the men's 70kg final via split decision over Wales' Orlando Holley-Sotomi.
• Michaela Walsh and Kaci Rock sealed silver in the boxing for Team Northern Ireland.
• England's Ruby White, 19, suffered the first defeat of her career as she lost to India's Sakshi Sakshi in the women's 51kg final.
• Dimeji Shittu was also forced to settle for silver in the men's 80kg final as he suffered a controversial defeat by Ankush Panghal of India.
• But Sacha Hickey, Patris Mughalzai and Isaac Okoh all won their finals to add to Team England's medal haul.

• There was drama in the netball as Jamaica stunned defending champions Australia in the semi-finals.
• England will take on Australia in the bronze-medal match after they fell to New Zealand and missed out on a place in the final.

Before the athletics gets into full swing at Scotstoun, let's have a quick recap of the big talking points from day nine...

Damar Thomas is quick and has the range. Not a bad combo for a super-heavyweight.

The Englishman's southpaw is taking on the orthodox stance of India's Narender Berwal and it's working in Thomas' favour so far.

Teenager Henry Hobbs came out on top in a fast men's 10km scratch race which featured a serious crash involving a large number of riders in the penultimate lap.

Hobbs had won a bronze in the elimination race yesterday to go with a gold in the men's 4000m team pursuit won earlier this week.

He has told TNT Sports: "It was really hard - I thought the Aussies were trying to set something up but then it all changed and I was left a bit in the middle of nowhere.

"The last kilometre was really choppy and a dogfight - I didn't feel too good this morning so I thought if it was a sprint it would be great for me as it only needed one effort.

"I'm surprised a crash didn't happen earlier because it was so fast - you always have to think you can win but I wasn't one hundred per cent confident."

English boxer Damar Thomas comes into this final off the back of a walkover in the semi-final.

Will that make him rusty or will he be fresher for it?

The Welshman frequently rocks up to competitions warming up in a Wrexham football top but not tonight as he prepares for his Commonwealth Games debut.

He always keeps a Welsh flag in his bag "just in case".

I guarantee the British Championship silver medalist has one in his rucksack today.
