    Albon is very deep into that wall on a narrow part of the track. This could develop into a red flag.

  3. The safety car is deployed and this prompts a flurry of pit stops. Championship leader Kimi Antonelli is among those heading in, as well as Lando Norris.

    A huge lockup. That tyre will be absolutely destroyed. This could force Norris into a pit stop earlier than he would have wanted.

    Verstappen: "These softs can clearly do half of the race."

    Team engineer: "I understand max, but it's track position and risk. Just be patient"

    Oscar Piastri is driving a very sensible and solid race. It might not be the most exciting to watch or listen to but he's doing everything he needs to do to keep that position that McLaren hadn't dreamt of coming into this weekend.

  8. Big lock up by Lando Norris at the end of the straight and that proves costly as he loses places to Pierre Gasly and Kimi Antonelli.

    Red Bull aren't getting anywhere with how they are now. Why not switch Hadjar and Verstappen around and give it a go?

    Seems strange from Red Bull to invert the cars for Max but then not undo that call when Hadjar is clearly faster at this point of the race and putting him under pressure. Losing race time because he's their number one driver is daft.

  14. Kimi Antonelli is up into the top 10 now with Pierre Gasly up next for him in eighth.

    Doubt whether Red Bull will have the nerve to tell Verstappen to move over for Hadjar unfortunately...

    The quickest way around a street circuit is to go as close as possible to the wall. It's very common for the tyres to scuff the advertising boards and the drivers take it to the absolute limit.

    When you know you've touched the wall you start listening for problems that might not exist, so it becomes as much of a psychological problem as a physical one.

    What’s going on with Ferrari? After a good start to the season, since the summer break they’re getting less competitive. Those upgrades aren’t working, been out manoeuvred, now the fourth fastest team after being second fastest at the start. Appalling mismanagement.
