Franco Colapinto is the sole Alpine car left in this Miami Grand Prix following Pierre Gasly's crash earlier on. The Argentine driver is on to pick up some points, running in eighth place.
The two Williams drivers are also sitting in the top 10, with Carlos Sainz in ninth and Alex Albon in 10th.
Lando Norris is eating into Kimi Antonelli's advatnage at the front of the field. The world champion is six tenths off the teenager but the chance to pounce hasn't presented itself yet to Norris.
Antonelli is highlighting his rear tyres feel a bit hot, though.
The gap between Kimi Antonelli and Lando Norris is less than a second now, as the McLaren just creeps closer and closer to the Mercedes driver. But Antonelli has clean air ahead of him, and the rain also doesn't look like it's turning up anytime soon.

We've just told everyone that Oscar was in the clear but this is the new 2026 regulations, we just can't see what state the battery is in, how much more oomph they've got left to counter attack.
Mercedes are trying to calm Kimi Antonelli's nerves by telling the Italian everything looks OK.
George Russell takes another crack at Oscar Piastri in the hopes of reclaiming fifth place but the Australian closes the door as the fight continues down to the final corner.
While Kimi Antonelli grapples with his car, Mercedes team-mate George Russell is having a scrap with McLaren's Oscar Piastri, with the Australian passing Russell down the inside at Turn One for fifth place.

One of the problems with the safety car means that the pack is still quite bunched up. If Max Verstappen pits now, he is going to come out to a gaggle of cars and is going to come out and have to work his way through them and normally in a race, he would have had a bigger gap between the cars and so it's easier to make a stop.
Kimi Antonelli sounds a bit nervous on the team radio. The teenager is flagging some gearbox issues with his Mercedes but he's still keeping Lando Norris at arm's length after another lap of the Miami track.
This would be Kimi Antonelli's third win in a row if he can bring home his Mercedes in first place but the Italian only has a slim advantage over the upgraded McLaren. And now he's calling the pit wall...
Amazingly, not a drop of rain has landed on the Miami circuit so far. Kimi Antonelli is a second clear of Lando Norris, while Max Verstappen has driven in recovery mode for most of this race and is back up in third.
They've really dropped back these two [George Russell and Charles Leclerc] with their early pitstops. They have lost a lot of time in that traffic that stayed out, that they had to get past while the other leaders stayed up front.
Charles Leclerc and George Russell are following each other closely after their two pit stops and now the Ferrari man thinks it's time to try his luck with a move on the Mercedes.
Job done. Leclerc is now fourth - Oscar Piastri has pitted and is sixth - and Russell is fifth.

It's almost back to how we started. This is fantastic, no one is getting ahead. We have Max Verstappen there on the hard tyre, but the Norris and Antonelli race is still on. Norris is using his boost on the start finish straight.
That was a big move by Kimi Antonelli to get through on rival Lando Norris and as other drivers head into the pit lane, Antonelli is back in the lead of this Miami Grand Prix.
Lando Norris is second, Max Verstappen is now third and Franco. Colapinto, who is yet to pit, is fourth.
McLaren have to react to Kimi Antonelli pitting, so send up the bat signal for Lando Norris to also come in. The two emerge alongside each other and it's Antonelli who comes out on top. Max Verstappen is right in the mix now after gaining a number of places.
Max Verstappen is lifting his Red Bull up the field with every lap. The Dutchman has already pitted under the safety car, so he is in prime position to take advantage when the frontrunners head in.
