Man City manager Pep Guardiola on Everton: "Difficult opponents - they always have been. It will be weird because the old Everton stadium was so cool and nice, very British. I loved going there, but I'm looking forward to the new stadium.

"They defend really well. David Moyes knows exactly what to do. The game we played at the Etihad was decided by two or three actions, but at that moment we weren't good. We're better now, and hopefully we can use what we are playing for to win, win, win."

So we enjoyed the days off and prepared for the games. I watched Brentford at Old Trafford, for example, because they will be our next opponent, and I was very impressed.

"Even though they lost, they played really well. I think Brentford have had an incredible season. I also played a bit of golf with this good weather."

    Manchester City

Man City manager Pep Guardiola on talk that football should be played more openly, like in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final between Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich: "That's nice. It's what football is all about. You and I are not the same.

"Football is like this [gestures widely] - everyone has their own style. It was a good game. Atletico Madrid v Arsenal was another good game too. Of course, when you score nine goals in a semi-final, it's fantastic. Football has to be accepted in different ways."

    Manchester City

When we won the treble, we had a similar calendar, but I learned a long time ago not to expect anything different. We have to adapt and take it game by game."

He added, when asked about Paris Saint-Germain having games postponed: "It can happen in other countries, but here it is what it is. We have to adapt. If you don't like it, go and train in France or Portugal. I like being here, and I've said many times - when I was at Barcelona and saw managers here complain about the schedule - it has always been like this. So I never expected anything different."
