Beating Liverpool ticks all the boxes, it's decision making, it's substitutions at the right-time. He's got his team to find a way to get a result, that's what a manager does. Well done Carrick, well done United.

If Slot stays Liverpool will be fighting relegation next year.

    Paul, Ipswich

In all honesty, even after the injuries, Slot has to go. Playing Frimpong and Jones out of position and not having Kerkez in was just an awful decision. These were just some of those awful decisions. Time to go.

    Agustine, Texas

What a poor poor side Liverpool have become. Under Slot we try to bore the opposition into submission. No pace, no passion, no plan. If he stays next season we will be the new Tottenham.

Arne Slot will be much happier with the second half performance but their feeble first-half display has ultimately cost Liverpool.

The Liverpool players and Slot head over to applaud the away end, of which the vast majority have remained and are applauding back.

Brilliant game, both sides outdone themselves. Both sets of fans played their part. Great occasion in the stadium. Man United pushing and pushing, Bruno Fernandes gets Man United singing the right tune.

Bournemouth are up to sixth after beating Crystal Palace 3-0 earlier on, while Villa will move above Liverpool if they avoid defeat against 18th-placed Tottenham.

What a response from the fans behind the dugout. Fernandes getting his team a throw-in [and then urging for more noise], that's all it was and that was the response.

That’s a red card for Bruno. Very fortunate to still be on the pitch after a challenge as dangerous as that.

    Manchester United 3-2 Liverpool

There is still plenty of time for more goals in what has been a very entertaining game for the neutral. Liverpool substitute Rio Ngumoha produces a couple of stepovers to create some space and curls an effort looking for the far post. Senne Lammens is just watching on, but watches it go wide of target.

  20. 'Yellow and get on with the game'published at 17:12 BST

    Manchester United 3-2 Liverpool

That was a little lazy from Bruno there, I think there is a bit of frustration that they chose the wrong decision. What he does do is tackle ahead of the ball and catch his ankle with his studs. So he does catch him, but nothing to bad. Yellow card and get on with the game.
