Arsenal defender Steph Catley, speaking to Disney+: "It was a pretty crazy five minutes. It's football sometimes and we left it late.

"It's tough at the moment and in the Champions League there are no easy games. They defended great, we didn't score early and it didn't come until the end.

"In the Champions League you never think it's an easy day. I was expecting a tough game and it became really difficult but credit to the girls, they did everything and Mariona [Caldentey] was very calm in that moment.

"It's hard to put your finger on it [what is going wrong], it is a bit of a slog and the goals are not coming as freely as they have in the past. It's not a lack of trying, we're doing everything we can to put the ball into the back of the net.

"Sometimes it does not feel easy and that's where we are at but we're working hard every day trying to fix it. We have great history in this competition and it's important we are in it every year and challenging to win. We have a real belief that we can go on and win it. It's a long season and we're working really hard so to get the wins early on is very important."

On the penalty: "I'm never in doubt when she is on the ball. You always felt she [Caldentey] was going to score. Selina [Cerci] made a big impact dribbling into the box."

More from HB Koge forward Nadia Nadim speaking to ESPN on Disney+: "We wanted to be compact and keep the ball, we had people who were comfortable with the ball. We changed in the last 30 minutes and it didn't do us well because we couldn't get out of the pressure.

"Credit to Arsenal, great team, they find each other well. It's ok, happy for the young players to experience this.

"I enjoy the game. Physically, it's tough because you're so low, it becomes hard to be dangerous, takes a toll to try and get in the box the whole time.

"I love football, I love this game. It's nice to be back here, I always love Champions League. Now we're a new team, let's see where this adventure will take us."

HB Koge's Nadia Nadim speaking to ESPN on Disney+: "So proud of the team and the way we conducted ourselves, especially in the first half was good.

We have a young team, a lot of them have no experience playing at this level, good for them to experience what it's like at this level. Good learning, disappointed they got the goal and penalty in the last minute. That's a part of the game, could've done better but it's our first Champions League game and there's a lot of games left."

Arsenal dominated that match by most metrics, but they needed a 93rd-minute penalty to secure an important victory.

There's always going to be talk about this Arsenal team because of the quality of the players they do have and the expectations of this team.

They need to start putting up some better performances and putting the ball in the back of the net to look more convincing.

We knew Arsenal really needed those points. A last minute one feels good, no matter how it went in.

There will still be alarm bells, the way they struggled to find the back of the net. They will have confidence in the way they controlled possession and played the occasion.

Arsenal won, and if we're honest, they deserved to.

But it's important not to underplay how impressive HB Koge were.

Many of their players are part-time - they are students, bank workers, theme park staff.

Yet they came within two minutes of winning a point off one of the best teams in the world.

If they continue to defend like that and add some goals to their performances, they will be confident of reaching the knockout stages.

We knew Arsenal were going to dominate possession and they did. It's difficult, HB Koge's gameplan worked perfectly until the 93rd minute.

Did Arsenal create enough chances? In the second half, yes.

Overall, Arsenal do deserve to win this game but it's disappointing for HB Koge.

Arsenal get out of jail big time.

HB Koge fought so hard and really frustrated Arsenal, but a late mistake from defender Yukina Sakabe gifts the hosts a penalty which Mariona Caldentey squeezed home.

That's a fantastic play from Cerci. She just takes the ball, takes on the play. Sees the gap, runs inside, keeps the ball close and it is a penalty. Silly tackle, she isn't going anywhere.

We were just saying that Selina Cerci has been quiet, but she touches the ball past a defender and is brought down.

All credit to HB Koge, they've defended extremely well. I think they can hold their heads up high from this.

I think after their performance, there'll be a few WSL teams looking at their players.

Arsenal break forward and Olivia Smith has her shirt pulled by Laura Munk Hermann, who gets a yellow card.

How has that not gone in?

The corner falls to Leah Williamson eight yards from goal, but she gets underneath her snap shot and the ball flies over the bar.

Alessia Russo takes a ball from Olivia Smith on the half turn and shoots, but her strike deflects behind for yet another Arsenal corner.
