    And now Hearts have a free-kick on the edge of the box!

    This is scarcely believable stuff. It was Blair Spittal who was fouled - and the midfielder stands over it.

    But his effort is just wide.

    It's really poor defending from Hibs and substitute forward Marko Gjorgievski gets away from his marker to send the ball into the far corner and level the game.

    Dare I say it's the best goal of the five! Incredible football from Hearts.

    What a touch out of his feet and what a finish from Renaud.

    Is it a consolation? Do Hearts go for another?

    I didn't see that coming.

    Hibs make the breakthrough as the two Edinburgh sides score in unison.

    It's great work from substitute Callum Wright, who skips past two defenders before playing a pass back across goal and into the feet of Owen Elding - and he makes no mistake from close range.

    The fightback begins? A bit of positivity at least as Hearts' Tom Renaud sweeps home a reply.

    That came out of nowhere really, but suddenly Hearts linked up nicely on the right, swept it out to Renaud, and he arrowed it into the corner for his first Hearts goal.

    The fans have got their moment!

    Nice work from Hibs again, Owen Elding laying off to Nathan Lowe and the striker's shot is turned behind for a corner.

    Hibs work it back out wide and Felix Passlack sends another cross in. This one is headed goalwards by Jason Kerr, but the defender can't direct the ball on target.

    Hibs seem to be sparking into life a wee bit now.

    Benfica fire another effort at goal.

    This one comes from Jhon Duran - yes, that one - on of three top-class substitutes brought on a couple of minutes ago.

    The former Aston Villa forward drills it low, but goalkeeper Beau Reus was down well.

    The first real opportunity of the second half for Hibs comes from Felix Passlack.

    The defender's low drilled shot is deflected off a Shkendija player and straight into the arms of goalkeeper Ferat Ramani.

    Up the other end, Hibs have to send behind a Shkendija cross for a corner.

    Hearts are almost away on the break, but Enzo Barrenechea slides back to deny Pierre Landry Kabore a free run at goal from the halfway line.

    Almost a moment to remember for the travelling fans.

    Striker Ante Suto is on for Martin Boyle as Hibs look to make some changes.

    Midfielder Callum Wright is on too. He replaces defender Adam Mayor.

    This game is crying out for a bit of magic.

    It's there for Pretianni to touch, set and whip it in.

    This second half is shaping up in much the same way as the first, both teams getting forward without causing any real through.

    In fact, Josh Mulligan has just leathered a shot high over the Shkendija crossbar.

    Oh dear, Hearts lose possession and the fourth is gloriously dispatched by Gianluca Prestianni.

    Yes, Benfica have been a cut above, but Hearts have gifted them these goals.

    That was Pierre Landry Kabore and Tom Renaud, who both gave the ball away near their own box.

    Jamie McCart clears the ball off the line with an unbelievably composed back heel, but Benfica striker Vangelis Pavlidis was flagged offside in the build up.

    Close to a fourth for the hosts - and it would have counted if it had gone to VAR.

    The Hibs defender chests the ball down on the edge of the Shkendija box but smashes his strike well over the bar.

    Hearts have swapped to a back-three, with Calvin Miller moved to left wing-back.

    He is instrumental in the first half-chance of the game, as he works it down the left and crosses deep for Alexandros Kyziridis - now playing off the right.

    Jordi Altena has an effort on goal, but the right-back's shot is easy for the goalkeeper. Still, encouraging.

    A very early stoppage in play while Jovan Manev receives some treatment.

    There was a coming together between the Shkedija defender and Hibs' Nathan Lowe, but it doesn't look too serious.

    Tom Renaud is on for Laurent Mendy in Hearts' midfield and Jamie McCart on for Harry Milne in defence.

    We'll see what that does to the formation. Either way, second half is under way, as it is at Easter Road.

    I read that Hearts' biggest defeat in Europe was that 5-0 by Tottenham.

    There is no way that will not be surpassed unless the manager makes changes at half-time.

    The two up front are trying to occupy the defensive midfielder, but once it past them, there are defending with nine men.

    You'd fear for Hearts if Benfica have the same intensity and will for attack in the second half.

    Europe can be a blessing, but it can be an almighty curse.

    They want to get there, but their season can be derailed almost immediately.

    If this was a boxing match, you would be throwing in the towel.
