Rangers remain at the top of the SWPL on goal-difference after the in-form Laura Berry scored twice to earn victory over Aberdeen.

Berry's strikes came within three minutes of each other midway through the first half, with Katie Wilkinson also netting before half time.

Berry's first came from a well-worked Sophie Black free kick. She floated the ball in towards Nicola Docherty, who headed it into the path of Berry as she finished off from close range.

Three minutes later, Berry powered Eilidh Austin's cut back past Katie O'Hanlon in the Aberdeen goal.

Wilkinson soon put Rangers three up. Brogan Hay did well to keep the ball in play and her accurate delivery was headed in by Wilkinson at the back post.

Rangers top scorer came close to adding another early in the second half, but saw her acrobatic effort hit the goal frame.

Aberdeen rarely threatened. Holly Daniel tried her luck from distance but home keeper Jenna Fife safely gathered.

With 14 minutes left, Aberdeen did pull a goal back, though. Melissa Regmi didn't give up as she got her shot away, and the 17-year-old's effort looped over Fife and into the back of the net.

The 3-1 victory extends Rangers winning start and keeps them at the top of the SWPL on goal difference, while Aberdeen remain pointless after five league games.

Rangers face a big week with their Europa Cup second qualifying round, first leg match against Hammarby IF on Wednesday followed by their SWPL clash with Celtic on Sunday.

Carly Johns goal was enough to see off Spartans and seal back to back league wins for Hearts.

Johns strike came towards the half hour mark after hearts were thwarted by some good goalkeeping from the Spartans' Lauren Hensel-Burg.

Hearts have been scoring goals for fun in the majority of their SWPL games this season, but despite their possession and chances, but they were restricted to the one goal in this one.

They remain third in the table, with Spartans in seventh.

A Libby Smith hat-trick sealed a comfortable win for Hibernian over Montrose.

Smith's first of the afternoon set the tone as she put the home side one up after seven minutes. She then turned provider, Tiree Burchill this time with the finish.

Hibs and Smith were quick out the traps in the second half, with the striker grabbing her second and third goals in quick succession.

Joelle Murray's side were certainly in the mood and, after providing a couple of assists, Aoife Colvill headed in to put them five up.

Despite pulling one back through an own goal by Hibs defender Scarlett Herron, thing quickly deteriorated further for Montrose.

Chloe Glover was sent off for denying an obvious goalscoring opportunity, then Jasmine McQuade's strike from the rebound sealed Hibs convincing win.

Hibs stay fourth on goal difference, while defeat for Montrose leaves them at the foot of the SWPL, and still looking for their first win.

Glasgow City came from behind to get the better of Partick Thistle after a commanding second-half performance at Petershill.

It was a frustrating first half for City, as despite having the lion's share of possession, it was Thistle who took the lead. A ball in from a corner was flicked on and Abby Robinson finished off from close range at the back post.

But City continued to dominate the ball after falling behind and were soon on level terms. Kelly Brady's persistence teed up Erin McLaughlin, who made it 1-1 with a calm finish from the edge of the box.

City side came out showing plenty of intent in the second half, and were rewarded with a brilliant goal. Lisa Evans burst down the wing and cut back for Linda Motlhalo to give City the lead.

City's tails were up after that and Lisa Forrest put them further ahead, scoring straight from a corner kick, with a little help from the wind.

The home side continued to control the game and, despite passing up a few opportunities, their win was sealed by a lovely looping finish from Yukka Kurosaki, her first goal for the club.
