Jacob Greaves takes down Matheus Cunha. It was a stonewall penalty and brilliantly taken from Bruno Fernandes.

Relief and jubilation all combined together.

All of a sudden, from an Ipswich team that were putting up a really good fight, they find themselves two goals down at Old Trafford with a mountain to climb.

Suddenly, Ipswich have a mountain to climb.

They are not going to be happy about that second goal for sure.

They have stood toe-to-toe with United but have been undone after the intervention of VAR.

Matheus Cunha is brought down by Jacob Greaves and Manchester United have a chance to make it 3-1.

That's going to hurt Ipswich.

The goal stands and because Harry Maguire's shot was going wide, the handball is neutralised and goes down as a Jacob Greaves own goal.

Make of that what you will.

It comes to nothing. A point would be very goof for Ipswich but there is such a long way to go and United have looked dangerous this half.

Will Ipswich punish Bryan Mbeumo for that outrageous miss?

Everyone inside Old Trafford, myself included, thought that was in the back of the net.

Marcus Rashford does superbly well to fire it directly across goal.

Bryan Mbeumo has the whole goal at his mercy.

It's a difficult one with his right thigh.

What on earth?

Manchester United should be ahead but Bryan Mbeumo somehow manages to miss from about two yards out after Marcus Rashford's cross.

Ipswich were cut open there. United should have made it count.

Julio Enciso looks a decent signing. He has caused United lots of bother and he wriggles away to fire over the bar.

Anything but a lightning start to the new half. Manchester United are dominating the ball but there has been zero goalmouth action.

Luke Shaw, meanwhile, has been sent back out for the second half despite being at fault in the build-up to Ipswich's goal.

Shaw goes in hard with a challenge but escapes a yellow card.

Ipswich have made a change at the start of the second half.

Chuba Akpom, the former Middlesbrough forward, is on for Emersson.

I suspect Gary O'Neil's half-time message to his Ipswich players was brief: "More of the same, lads."
