Match Facts
Leeds are unbeaten in their last eight home league games against Brentford (W3 D5) since a 1-0 loss in February 2015. Each of the last three have finished level, with the last two ending 0-0.
Four of the six Premier League meetings between Leeds and Brentford have been drawn, with both sides winning once each – Leeds won 2-1 away in May 2022, while Brentford won 5-2 at home the following September.
Leeds United won 1-0 away at Nottingham Forest on MD1, but the Whites last started a league campaign with consecutive wins in 2018-19, when winning their first three Championship matches under Marcelo Bielsa.
Brentford are looking to win their opening two league games in a season for the first time since 2006-07 in League One; they last did so in the top-flight back in 1935-36.
Since the start of December 2025, only five teams have won more points in the Premier League than Leeds United (39), while only three sides have won more points on home soil than the Whites in that time (24).
On MD1 of this season’s Premier League, Brentford had the most shots via set pieces (14) of any side, while 64% of Leeds United’s attempts were via set pieces (7/11).
Brentford’s only two Premier League defeats across their last 12 matches (W3 D7) were away at Manchester United and Manchester City in April and May respectively. Since the start of that run on 28 February, the only ever-present sides to lose fewer games are Man City and Bournemouth (one each).
Only Ian Harte (10) has scored more direct free kick goals for Leeds United in the Premier League than Anton Stach (4 – level with Gary McAllister); on record (since 2003-04) the German has the best free kick conversion rate among players to attempt more than five shots from them (40% - 4/10).
Four different Brentford players (Jensen, Janelt, Collins, Ouattara) had both 2+ shots and created 2+ chances on MD1 against Spurs – the most of any side. No Leeds player achieved this.
Leeds’ Harry Wilson has scored four Premier League goals against Brentford, with these coming in his last four appearances against the Bees. It’s his joint-most goals against any side in the competition (also 4 v Tottenham Hotspur).
