Have a look at Unai Emery's reaction after that miss!

He's absolutely seething on the sideline.

  6. CLOSE!published at 61 mins

    Fulham 1-0 Aston Villa

Ooooo, that's a decent chance for Ollie Watkins to equalise and you'd fancy him to score there.

He's played through and the ball sits up well for him but he slashes it into the crowd behind.

We've got about an hour left in this one and Villa aren't really threatening to score.

They're just not moving the ball quickly enough to bother Fulham.

As good as Villa are, when the door is open to do something good like a cup win or Champions League qualification, they run head first into the nearest wall instead.

    Fulham 1-0 Aston Villa

Fulham have gone on to lose just one of their last 48 Premier League matches at Craven Cottage when leading at half-time against non-London opposition (W38 D9), however, that defeat came in their most recent such match (1-2 v Everton in February, led 1-0 at HT).

  10. Postpublished at 55 mins

    Fulham 1-0 Aston Villa

Villa are flat and you can see the anger on Unai Emery's face.

    Time for Tammy Abraham?

  11. Postpublished at 54 mins

    Fulham 1-0 Aston Villa

Villa come forward but the ball into the box by Lucas Digne is poor and misses everyone.

And to make matters worse, Ollie Watkins is limping.

  12. 'Villa not being clinical'published at 13:39 BST

    Fulham 1-0 Aston Villa

    Lucy Ward
Former Leeds striker on TNT Sports

There's times where Aston Villa have just allowed the game to plod along without being clinical.

It is so key for Villa to find Emi Buendia or Morgan Rodgers. They've got to be better in the second half.

    Fulham 1-0 Aston Villa

John McGinn slips it through for Morgan Rogers. He tries to hook it across goal but it deflects back off Rogers and out for a goal kick.

It's just not happening for Villa at the moment.

Brighton fan here, this might be our best opportunity ever to get Champions League. If we hold on to 6th place it then looks like there's a good chance of Villa doing the rest of the work for us dropping down to 5th and winning Europa League.

  15. YELLOW CARDpublished at 50 mins

    Fulham 1-0 Aston Villa

Pau Torres isn't having the best of games.

He lets Raul Jimenez skip round him and picks up a booking for dragging the Mexican down.

So, if Villa lose today, then Liverpool can go third with a win against Crystal Palace this afternoon.

  17. Fulham full backs impressingpublished at 13:35 BST

    Fulham 1-0 Aston Villa

    Martin Keown
Former Arsenal defender on BBC Sport

The narrative of the game for me is the Fulham full backs.

Ryan Sessegnon is playing left-back today and he’s popped up with the opening goal.

Timothy Catagne is running with it [down the right] and nobody is dealing with him.

Aston Villa will need to work out how to deal with that in the second half.

  18. CLOSE!published at 48 mins

    Fulham 1-0 Aston Villa

Lucas Digne makes a mistake and Harry Wilson is in. You think he's going to make it 2-0 but he takes too long and drags wide.

You've got to play Raul Jimenez in there.

  19. YELLOW CARDpublished at 47 mins

    Fulham 1-0 Aston Villa

Timothy Castagne gets the first yellow card of the game for dragging Emi Buendia down to the ground.

Nerly pulled his shirt off his back.

  20. KICK-OFFpublished at 13:32 BST

Villa get the ball rolling for the second half.
