England have let Kyle Jamieson off at a crucial stage here. This is the first time Jamieson has scored 30 or more in a Test innings since November 2021. They need to wrap this quickly to maintain a healthy lead.

I think it's a tired square. A week of really hot weather and then dodgy weather leading into the Test, I can't imagine that's easy [to prepare]. It's not an easy pitch to bat on but we are in for a good Test match.
Full and straight to Will O'Rourke, though, who defends and Jamieson keeps the strike.
The New Zealand camp have confirmed that Matt Henry, who was off the pitch for most of yesterday with back spasms, will be coming out to bat.

I can't understand why Ollie Robinson is just dragging it down. It's not as if he's bowling as fast as Josh Tongue for example.
Two wickets to get on a bowler-friendly surface, so obviously the plan is to put fielders on the boundary and bowl short.
Kyle Jamieson whacks Ollie Robinson for back-to-back sixes.
This is very entertaining from Jamieson.
After the six, he's clearly expecting another short ball from Tongue as he is so far back in his crease.
He nudges into the leg side for a single and just about manages to avoid stepping on to his stumps, with all the grace and elegance you'd expect from a man who is almost seven foot tall.
