South Africa's anti-corruption chief surrounded by scandals

South Africa's highest court has ruled that the public protector - the state official in charge of investigating corruption - lied under oath and acted in bad faith.

Kenya's minister of finance, Henry Rotich has been accused of flouting procurement procedures in awarding a contract worth over $450m (£405m) for the construction of two dams to the Italian company CMC de Ravenna.

This year's annual Evala wrestling festival in Togo has attracted over 2000 young men from the Kabye tribe of the country, to mark the end of the initiation period of young men in the community.
