Nigerian police clash with Shi'ite Islamic group

The Nigerian Police and Shi’ite Muslim protesters have clashed in the capital Abuja, over the continuous detention of their leader Sheikh El Zak Zaky who despite an order by the federal high court for his release.

Kenya's minister of finance, Henry Rotich has been accused of flouting procurement procedures in awarding a contract worth over $450m (£405m) for the construction of two dams to the Italian company CMC de Ravenna.
