Kenya's minister of finance, Henry Rotich has been accused of flouting procurement procedures in awarding a contract worth over $450m (£405m) for the construction of two dams to the Italian company CMC de Ravenna.
In Tanzania, its the 60th anniversary of the discovery of the Zinjanthropus which is believed to be the "early man", at the Olduvai Gorge in Ngorongoro Conservancy.
