DR Congo: The ICC upholds Bemba's sentence

The International Criminal Court drops Mr Bemba's charges of War Crimes but upholds fines against him for witness tampering. The Constitutional Court of The Democratic Republic of Congo will not accept Mr Bemba's candidacy to the upcoming presidential elections + In Nigeria, heavy raining has caused two of the main rivers in the country to overflow onto villages, killing over a hundred people. One of the worst areas is Lokoja in Kogi state where dozens have died and many homes destroyed. Anambra, Delta and Niger state are also affected by the crisis + Hundreds march in the Ethiopian capital in protest of the killing of 23 people over the weekend. The violence was attributed to ethnic clashes.
