Buinn Oir a’ Chomuinn Ghaidhealaich

Tha Cathy NicDhòmhnaill a' toirt thugaibh farpais chriochnachaidh a’ Bhuinn Òir, beò bhon a’ Mhòd Nàiseanta Rìoghail ann an Glaschu.
Às dèidh na ro-fharpaisean na bu tràithe san latha nochdaidh na seinneadairean a shoirbhich air beulaibh na britheamhan ann am prìomh thalla, Talla Chonsairt Rìoghail Ghlaschu, agus iad ag amas air Buinn Òir a’ Chomuinn Ghàidhealaich a ghlèidheadh. Bidh farpaisich na bliadhna-sa an dùil gun tèid aca air a bhith cho soirbheachail sa bha Caitlyn Yule agus Fionnlagh Iain Morse a ghlèidh na Buinn Òir ann an Loch Abar an uiridh.

Cathy Macdonald presents live coverage of the Gold Medal final for solo singing from the Royal National Mòd in Glasgow.

The leading men and women from the qualifying competitions earlier in the day perform in front of the adjudicators in the Main Auditorium in the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall as they compete for the An Comunn Gàidhealach Gold Medal. This year’s hopefuls will be hoping to emulate the success of Caitlyn Yule and Finlay John Morse in last year’s competition in Lochaber.

Cathy is joined in the studio by two guests with a keen interest in, and knowledge of, Gaelic music and song, to offer assessments of the competitors’ performances. The show also features successful competitors vying for the prestigious Silver Pendant for solo singing for adult learners.
