Meet Edward, Poland's celebrity robot

This is Poland's newest internet star
- Published
Poland has a new viral influencer, taking the country, and the world, by storm.
He's called Edward Warchocki, and he's been very busy.
He's chased boars out of the capital Warsaw, he's greeted with cheers wherever he goes... and he also happens to be a robot.

Edward's quite used to being in the spotlight
The humanoid machine was brought to Poland from China by business partners Radosław Grzelaczyk and Bartosz Idzik.
He's pretty flashy too - he's usually spotted wearing a sporty rucksack and diamond-encrusted watch.

What has Edward been up to?
Edward chasing wild boar out of Warsaw
In a now viral video, Edward has been seen protecting people in Warsaw from wild boar, shouting "go away!" in Polish as he does it.
He then posted about his efforts on social media, captioning the video: "I'm herding the wild boars into the forest."

Edward visited the Polish parliament and met lots of MPs
But becoming an internet sensation is only one of the things he's been doing with his time.
He's also met with Poland's Minister for Finance and Economy, and has become the first robot to visit the Polish parliament.
He's appeared on national TV, and regularly chats with residents of Warsaw on the street.
