Sunday's game saw Manchester City beat Liverpool 3-0 away at Anfield.
Goals came from Erling Haaland, Jérémy Doku and Rayan Cherki, who played against a 10-man side after Liverpool's Ryan Gravenberch was sent off.
As well as shouting, Liverpool fans were keen to display their unhappiness with City, with one banner reading "A Generation Of Supporters Cheated".
The result of the appeal is still yet to be decided, as well as any punishment that Man City might face.
