Olivia Dean nominated for Mercury Prize

Olivia Dean might be on her way to winning every major music award in existence.

The artist has been nominated for this year's Mercury Prize, which is an award given out every year to a UK or Irish artist for the best album.

The star's second album - The Art of Loving - has already won album of the year at both the Brits and Mobo Awards.

RAYE's second album has been nominated for the prize, as well as Jade's first solo album, after previously being in Little Mix.

Some people are surprised about artists who have not been nominated, such as Harry Styles and his fourth album, Kiss All The Time, Disco Occasionally.

There are 12 albums that get shortlisted for the award every year, and whilst all nominees get an 'Album of the Year' trophy, only one can be the overall winner.

And that artist also gets £25,000 too!

Last year, Sam Fender won the Mercury Prize, and donated the prize money to supporting small music venues across the UK.

We'll have to wait until October to find out this year's winner, at Newcastle's Utilita Arena.
